Electric planers are power hand planers used to create flat surfaces. Planers are for flat surfaces, whilst thicknessers are used for cutting. Planer thicknessers perform both functions in one device.
How Do Planer Thicknessers Work?
Wood is drawn into the cutting block using a set of rollers, then the blades rotate inside the drum and plane the timber. This reduces the thickness to the exact size needed.
