Ceiling & Wall Coving

Coving is a decorative feature added to walls and ceilings using adhesive. Its main purpose is to cover the join or seam where the wall and ceiling meet while adding an attractive visual element to the room.

There are many different styles of coving, from simple and contemporary to more elaborate and traditional designs. Coving can also be made from a variety of materials, including plaster, polymer, and polyurethane. While often associated with ceilings, coving can also be used as dado rails and skirting.

Corner Coving

Designed at an angle to slot into the corners of a room or fit around outward facing corners, this coving usually comes as pre-cut mitred corners to ease and simplify installation for the non-professional.

Ceiling Coving

While ceiling coving often comes in long strips that are fitted right around the room to add a decorative feature while hiding the join between wall and ceiling, they can also come in circular designs. Round ceiling covings, sometimes referred to as ceiling roses, are often placed in the centre of the ceiling, around or in place of a light fixture.

Plaster Coving

Plaster was the material used to create coving traditionally, but because of its heavy weight and fragility, it would often develop unseemly cracks over time and could even come away from the wall. Thanks to new technologies, plaster coving has now been superseded by lighter, stronger materials like high-density polyurethane and polymer.
