ThermaQuilt has an uncompressed thickness of 32mm with nine layers. It works by reflecting radiant heat back into the living space - this not only retains warmth, but also saves you money on heating by providing a warmer environment.
The quilting reduces all forms of energy transfer including conduction, convection and radiation, so it keeps your building warmer in winter and cooler in summer. It's not just limited to homes either - you can use it to insulate motorhomes, boats, cellars and almost any DIY application.
Once taped and sealed, ThermaQuilt works as a vapour control layer too - this stops the passage of moisture, reducing the risk of condensation.
